SLAM Lab

The Schwartz Lab for Affect and Moral judgement:

Understanding how people think, judge, and respond to a changing social world

The SLAM Lab at the UTSC, led by Dr. Stephanie Schwartz, studies how people form attitudes, make judgments, and understand one another in everyday social contexts.

We seek to understand how moral judgments shape people’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviour, and how these evaluations influence decision-making and interpersonal interactions.

SLAM Lab values thoughtful methods, collaborative research, and clear communication.

Our lab is committed to conducting thoughtful, rigorous, and accessible research that contributes to a deeper understanding of how people navigate an increasingly complex social world.
